Hypobaric training chambers
A hypobaric chamber is a pressure vessel run in reverse. Hipertech builds it with the same hull engineering, automation and safety discipline as its hyperbaric chambers, so fighter, transport and rotary-wing aircrew can train for hypoxia and a sudden loss of cabin pressure on the ground.
Specification
The main chamber and the rapid decompression lock are designed, manufactured and tested in İstanbul and delivered as one training facility. Dimensions and supply figures depend on the installation and come with the proposal.
| Maximum simulated altitude | 100,000 ft |
|---|---|
| Rapid decompression | Under one second, from cabin altitude to the set altitude |
| Configuration | Twin lock: main chamber and rapid decompression lock |
| Profiles | Programmable, for fighter, transport and rotary-wing platforms |
| Breathing | Aviator oxygen regulator at every station |
|---|---|
| Monitoring | Continuous SpO₂ and ECG at every station |
| Observers | Inside and outside observer positions |
| Recording | Full audio and video recording |
| Control | HiperFlow console: chamber, lock, vacuum plant and oxygen system from one desk |
|---|---|
| Records | Every profile recorded for debrief |
| Manufacture | Main chamber and lock designed, manufactured and tested in İstanbul |
| Delivery | As a complete, medically supervised training facility |
Altitude profiles
Each run is set before it starts. Within that envelope aircrew learn to recognise their own hypoxia symptoms.
The decompression lock then carries them from cabin altitude to altitude in under one second, reproducing a sudden loss of pressurisation.
Chamber, lock, vacuum plant and oxygen system run from a single console, with every profile recorded for debrief.
Set before every run
- Rate of climb
- Hold altitude
- Time at altitude
- Rate of descent
Training objectives
The chamber is built for four parts of altitude training, each in a controlled, medically supervised environment.
- Hypoxia recognition
- Rapid decompression drill
- Ear clearing technique
- Night vision simulation with adjustable irises

Plan an altitude training facility
Name the aircrew you train and the site, and the request goes to the engineers who build the chamber.
